The U.S. Navy is first introduced into the series in MAX. The Flock, as part of their mission to rescue Dr. Martinez, are taken to one of its bases in Hawaii in order to undergo a BSSTC—a basic survival skills training course—which is required in order to board any type of U.S. Navy vessel.
