Transformer-bots, also known as GoBots, were the Uber-Director's robot soldiers in The Final Warning. There had been several versions, and the one faced by the Flock was known as Generation J.
They may have been nicknamed for their electrical force fields. Their leader was Gozen, which might be the cause of their additional nickname of GoBots.
Appearance[]
They were robots, which Max said resembled "short Flyboys with no wings." Most of them were about four feet tall.
Unlike Flyboys, they were not designed to look human at all. They were armored in metal plates that slid smoothly against each other with a hissing noise. However, when the Uber-Director vaporized a group of them, they smelled of both machine oil and charred flesh.
Abilities[]
The remotely-commanded soldiers could fire laser beams. They had the ability to climb sheer walls like spiders. They could camouflage themselves near-perfectly, becoming invisible to the human eye. They were also seen signalling each other with a whistle so high only they could hear it.
They were usually armed with nets to capture the Flock.
When Gazzy tried to touch one that seemed deactivated, he received an electric shock that knocked him back.
Generations[]
Early versions varied widely in intelligence. Some were smart enough to question orders and try to choose for themselves. Others could only follow orders like machines and had no ability to adapt or make quick decisions. Generations D through G were the worst, some too blood-hungry to be controlled, and others so high and empathy that they couldn't bear to kill.
Generation J had some intelligence and some emotion, making them more controllable than Erasers or Flyboys, while also smart enough to improvise in situations. This series of robots experienced electricity like a drug which both excited and calmed them. This was used to reward them for completing trainings, but a design flaw was that they craved these jolts of electricity and would become unpredictable and violent without it.
The Uber-Director could destroy them instantly if needed by sending a signal to the nanoprocessors in his brain.
