The Jeweled Star is a defensive weapon created by Jonny Diamond. It is briefly mentioned in Maximum Ride Forever, though very little is revealed about it aside from the fact that it took several months to complete.
It was fired like a rocket, bursting into red fireworks and catching Max and Nudge in a net, which caused them to crash-land. Max was left with ringing ears and a headache, but they were otherwise unharmed.
