The Flock's first house was located in a beautiful and secluded part of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Colorado.
History[]
The Flock lived in the house for two years with Jeb Batchelder, the whitecoat who helped them escape from the School. After Jeb left, the Flock stayed in the house without him for another two years.
When Angel was kidnapped, the Flock left the house to rescue her. Gazzy and Iggy stayed behind to guard it, but after Erasers found them, they were forced to detonate Big Boy, and the resulting fire burned down the house.
Rebuilding[]
In FANG, a similar clifftop house was built by the CSM as a thank-you for the Flock's help in Antarctica and Hawaii. This house was also in Colorado, near the site of the old house. The Flock lived there on their own for about a week until Jeb and Dylan joined them, with Jeb wanting to reclaim his place and Dylan wanting to join the Flock.
Max had input into the design, and this version of the house was accessible only by flight or lowering a ladder. It was about a forty-five minute flight from any cities. It got its water from a natural reservoir.
The house is attacked and damaged by Erasers, and the water supply is poisoned, leading the Flock to leave for a safe house by the end of the book.
Appearance[]
The original house was described as "shaped like a letter E turned on its side" over a canyon. Max rated the house as a solid 15 on a "cool" scale from 1 to 10. If one were to look out the windows, they would get the impression that they were floating. It has down looking roofs that keep them safe from harm.
Other Homes[]
The Flock briefly lived at Anne Walker's elaborate country home in Virginia in School's Out - Forever. They were forced to leave, however, when they learned that Anne worked for the School.
Dr. Martinez's house in Arizona has also served as a refuge where the Flock can rest.
At the beginning of Nevermore, Max, Dylan, Nudge, Iggy and Gazzy are living in a house in Oregon and attending school at Newton.
